1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to connect.com.qa ('the Platform', 'we', 'us', 'our'), an online business directory operated in the State of Qatar. By accessing, browsing, or using any part of this Platform, you ('User', 'you') confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ('Terms') in their entirety.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease using the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of connect.com.qa under the applicable laws of the State of Qatar, including but not limited to the Commercial Law (Law No. 27 of 2006) and the E-Commerce and Transactions Law (Law No. 16 of 2010).

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform following any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically.

2. Definitions

  • Platform means the website connect.com.qa and all associated pages, features, and services.
  • User means any individual or entity accessing or using the Platform, whether or not registered.
  • Business Owner means any individual or entity that submits, claims, or manages a business listing on the Platform.
  • Listing means any business profile, advertisement, or entry submitted to or appearing on the Platform.
  • Content means all text, images, data, information, and materials submitted to, published on, or accessible through the Platform.
  • Operator means the entity operating connect.com.qa, registered in the State of Qatar.

3. Use of the Platform

3.1 Permitted Use

You may access and use the Platform for lawful personal or commercial purposes including: searching for and viewing business listings, submitting a business listing for publication, and accessing publicly available information on the Platform.

3.2 Prohibited Use

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Submit false, misleading, inaccurate, or fraudulent business information.
  • List a business that does not hold a valid commercial registration in Qatar, or that is not lawfully permitted to operate in Qatar.
  • Scrape, extract, copy, or reproduce Platform data in bulk without prior written consent.
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the operation of the Platform.
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or decree of the State of Qatar.
  • Submit, publish, or link to any content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or in violation of Qatar's laws relating to public morality.
  • Impersonate another person, business, or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.

4. Business Listings

4.1 Submission and Accuracy

Business Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information submitted for listing on the Platform. By submitting a Listing, you represent and warrant that:

  • The business is lawfully registered and operating in the State of Qatar.
  • All information provided is accurate and up-to-date.
  • You have authority to submit the Listing.
  • The Listing does not infringe the rights of any third party.

4.2 Review and Publication

We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to review, approve, reject, modify, or remove any Listing at any time without prior notice or liability. Publication of a Listing does not constitute our endorsement of the business, its services, or its practices.

4.3 Listing Updates and Removal

Business Owners are responsible for ensuring their Listing information remains accurate. To update or request removal of a Listing, Business Owners must contact us at connectdirectoryqtr@gmail.com. We will process legitimate update or removal requests within a reasonable time.

4.4 Free and Paid Listings

Basic listings on the Platform are provided free of charge. Where paid or premium listing services are offered, separate pricing and service terms will apply and will be communicated prior to any purchase. All paid services are subject to Qatar's applicable consumer protection and commercial laws.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Platform Content

All intellectual property rights in the Platform — including its design, structure, software, database, logo, trade name, and all Operator-generated content — are owned by or licensed to the Operator. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

5.2 User and Business Owner Content

By submitting Content to the Platform, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute that Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. You retain all ownership rights in Content you submit.

5.3 Trade Marks and Third-Party Rights

All trade marks, brand names, logos, and other intellectual property belonging to third parties appearing on the Platform (including business listings) remain the property of their respective owners. The Operator does not claim any ownership rights in third-party intellectual property featured in business listings.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

6.1 No Endorsement

The inclusion of a business in the Platform does not constitute the Operator's endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of the quality, safety, legal compliance, or fitness for purpose of any business, product, or service listed. Users engage with listed businesses entirely at their own risk and should conduct their own due diligence prior to entering into any contract or transaction.

6.2 Accuracy of Listings

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of Listings but do not warrant or guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information on the Platform. Business information — including addresses, telephone numbers, operating hours, and services — may change without notice.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the State of Qatar, the Operator, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform or any Listing thereon, including but not limited to loss of profit, data, business, or goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable laws of the State of Qatar, including the Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 8 of 2008) where applicable.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with applicable Qatari law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if we determine in our sole discretion that you have violated these Terms or any applicable law. Business Owners whose listings are removed due to breach of these Terms may not re-list without prior written consent.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, or to your use of the Platform, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the State of Qatar. We encourage Users and Business Owners to contact us at connectdirectoryqtr@gmail.com in the first instance to resolve any dispute amicably before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
